The Blank Page

Isaiah 43:18-19

Remember not the former things, nor the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Thought for the Day:  God has given us a blank page today; what are we going to do with it?

The mornings that I awake and have time to sit and write are precious to me. I am able to spend time reading devotionals and scriptures to start my day.  After that time or reading, I am able to have words to write.  Today, however, was a struggle.  Then, I looked at the blank, white page on my computer that awaited the words to be typed.  I sat and reflected, but no words appeared on the page.  It was a few minutes later that I realized that the blank page was exactly what I needed to write about.  Most mornings I wake up and think about events that happened the previous day and decide how I need to do things differently, and the few things I need to do the same.  The blank page brought me a bit of comfort.  Each day is a blank page that God gives us to better ourselves in the decisions and actions we make.  Today, as I continue learning how to teach kindergartners, I reflect on the days I have already taught and then decide how to begin my day with those sweet children.  I will keep some of the techniques the same, but I will change those that have not worked.  Today, as I look at my own children.  I will show my love to them in the ways that worked and I will change my techniques with them in the ways that didn’t.

The blank day stands ahead of me waiting to see what I do with it.  As I enter that day today, will I remember to ask God for guidance in each situation where I can be sure He is leading me.  Today, I will ask God to give me reminders to help me remember Him in all my decisions.  I am thankful for the blank page God has given me.  At the end of the day I hope I can look at the page and see a masterpiece that had God’s obvious hand has created.

Prayer: God, thank you for the blank page You have given me today.   Help me through the day through Your reminders to ask for your guidance to help me create Your masterpiece.  Amen.

Prayer Focus:  Those wanting to do better
