Nevertheless I am continually with thee; thou dost hold my right hand. Thou dost guide me with thy counsel, and afterward thou wilt receive me to glory.
Thought for the Day: God will make a way where there seems to be no way.
“God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see. He will make a way for me. He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side. With love and strength for each new day, He will make a way. God will make a way.” Over the last two days, I have seen clearly how God has led my husband and me to a new place. I visited a school where I will soon be teaching kindergarten and met the most amazing children and a very talented and loving teacher. God has given me an opportunity that I would have never dreamed myself to be teaching younger children. I have found in watching their teacher that I am going to love the new place God has led. I have also found a new friend in that retiring teacher who I already feel I can call on when I need a mentor to lead me through the experience. I drove away from that school feeling at peace that I was leaving “my new school.”
A couple of hours after I left, I was privileged to sit and experience my husband directing his new church chancel choir as they prepared the finishing touches on their cantata music. As I listened I heard beautiful music that had been polished under his leadership. As I listened, I heard the beautiful music but as I watched I clearly saw beautiful smiles on the faces of the men and women. Many, as I have been many times, were drawn in by the music through his direction. I teared up several times as I listened and felt thankful that God had placed us here in this Holy place. Once again, I saw the joy and emotion on Mark’s face and I saw, once again, the reactions from a choir to that emotion.
My husband and I went out to enjoy a few minutes together afterwards and we talked about the choir and the beautiful music they made. We talked about my experience meeting the sweet children I will be teaching and about the teacher I will be following. The warmth we felt as we shared gave us, once again, the sure knowledge that God had led us to this new place to share new ministries in the church and in the school.
Today, I am thankful and praising God for the blessings He has given. Today, I thank God for making a way for my family and I thank Him for reminding us through every day that He is with us. Today, I can clearly see, as I have many times, His hand reaching for our hands and pulling us through. We had a special person tell us over a year ago that she prayed and had a vision that we would look up and see His hand taking ours and leading us to our new place. And He has.
Prayer: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you God. You have placed your hand in front of us to take where You could lead us through and you have. You have taken us from the wilderness of the unknown and have blessed us with the “known”. Amen.
