Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God; consider the outcome of their life, and imitate their faith.
Thought for the Day: Be thankful for those Christian friends who offer wisdom and love.
I arrived at work in a church when I was a youth director to find that the outside office door had been busted in. I noticed immediately that my pastor’s car was parked outside the building so I knew he must he in his office. I turned around and went to another entrance that was closer to his office. He was there and to my relief I was able to tell him that the office had been broken into and he was able to call the police. For the coming hours, we had police officers and investigators looking around the building for signs of disruption.
As I think about Dr. Frank Bulle and my relief of seeing his face that morning of the break in, I think about the people who have been there for me throughout the tragedies and scary times of my life. It is so obvious that God placed them there in the time I needed them. And it is obvious that God sent them to change my life in some way. Dr. Bulle knew me when I was very small, and I remembered going to his house with my Daddy. So that morning, I knew I could find him for comfort in the midst of my fear. Since then, Dr. Bulle and I have attended worship at another church and I am always thrilled when I see him. I want my “Dr. Bulle” hug and I always receive it. He, and other men and women of God, have led me through my Christian journey with their wisdom and love. I am thankful today for all of them. I am thankful to see the face of God in those wonderful faith filled friends.
Prayer: God, thank you for those who have led us through our Christian journey. Their wisdom and love have formed who I am as Your child. Help me to become more like them to others. Amen
