Make me to know thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
Thought for the Day: Pray for God’s presence in your situation and He will show you the clear lines.
Driving between our home in Collierville, TN, to where our new home will be soon in Dacula, GA, is long. Most of the time the drive is enjoyable as I am a person who loves to drive and I have since I was young. But our last drive was very hard. Rain set in a couple of hours after we left. At first, it was slight with little problem, but as we got into Atlanta, it became hard and fast. The highway lines seemed to disappear and I had to pay very close attention in order to stay in the correct lanes. Arriving at my husband’s apartment brought such relief and brought us into a place of safety.
God makes a way clear for us as we go through our lives. Many times, however, we begin to go our own way without listening to God and God’s path seems to disappear for a moment. The lines disappear and we struggle to “see the lines” where God is leading. Then, we pray and ask God for clarity. When we do that and listen to Him, the lines reappear and they lead us clearly to where He is leading. Today, I ask God to make His way clear for me in my life where the lines are always clear in front of me and never disappear.
Prayer: God, thank you for the clear lines you put in front of us as we walk through this life. Help us today, to focus on you where we will always know where you are leading. Forgive us when we forget for a moment and let thoughts of you become stressful thoughts. Thank you for always bringing us back. We love you, Lord. Amen
