1 Corinthians 11:1-2
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you.
Thought for the Day: God leads us through new adventures and helps us through our fears.
We spent an evening taking a tour of Skymont Boy Scout Reservation led by our son last night. We sent a young boy to the camp a week ago and prayed he would enjoy himself and that he would not be afraid. When he left for camp a week earlier, he didn’t really want to go and was fearful of the “night time.” Our prayers, and the prayers of many, were answered. As our Nathaniel led us around the camp area, he was excited to share with us every place he experienced and expressed every detail he could remember. My son, my precious son, sounded like an adult as he led us from one place to the next. God came through in a “big way” at Skymont this week and I am thankful.
God answers prayers. God listens to our needs. God brings us to a place to answer those needs. As we go through our days, it is important to know that God is walking with us, talking to us, listening to us, and challenging us. God is leading us through our scary situations and giving us the courage and faith as we grow in our relationship with him.
Prayer: God, thank you for loving us and walking with us everyday. You challenge us to do things we are scared of and you bring us through in powerful ways. We love you, Lord. Amen
