God is Faithful in the Change

Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.

Thought for the Day:  God is faithful and will give us what we need in the moment

I am entering into a two-week period when many changes will take place in the Locke house. At the end of this week, my husband will be loading a moving truck with items he will need as he moves to Dacula, GA, to take the position of Minister of Music and Worship at Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church. Next Monday, my oldest child, Nathaniel, will be entering middle school with all the excitement and anxiety that goes along with a new challenge. That same week, my youngest child, Jonathan, will enter kindergarten with all the fun and learning that the teachers will share with him. I begin the school year today attending a week of in-service followed by welcoming my students into my class the following week. All of these changes will at times feel very overwhelming, I am sure, and there will be times of tears and nerves. But, in the last months of sharing time with God I have learned that He is faithful and will take care of our needs. All of our prayers for a position for Mark have been answered in the most wonderful way, my children are healthy and strong, and I have a new outlook in my spiritual faith that goes beyond any measure. Knowing God is with us is all the knowledge I need to know we are where He wants us to be in the moment.

Prayer:   God, thank you for answering our prayers in the most remarkable ways. Your faithfulness to us has no end and we are thankful. Help us remember that faithfulness as we go through our days knowing you will provide our needs. Amen.
