God Knew Us Before We Were Born

Psalm 139:13-16

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me when as yet there was none of them.

Thought for the Day:  God knew us before we were born, and He takes care of all our details.

What an overwhelming thought…God knew before we were born and He knew everything that was going to happen in our lives. He knew about the day we were born, the day we went to our first day of school, the person we were going to marry and how many children we would have. He also knew the joys we would receive and all the sorrows we would encounter. Mostly, I believe, God knew about these things and placed the people in our lives that would be there for us. As I look back at my life and remember the joys and sorrows, I have special memories of those who were there for me. God placed me in the family of Mary Jane and Gordon Henderson who taught me about love and taught me about my precious God. He placed my college friends in the perfect place and time to help me when my brothers passed away. God gave me a precious husband for seven years, and gave me his parents to become my second parents after his death. He gave me a perfect companion and husband in Mark to help us through so many things together including the deaths of our parents, the adoption of our children, and in opportunities and sorrows. God knew it all and took care of all of the specifics to help me through.

“Wow”, again I say “Wow”, God knows us, God loves us, and God takes care of us. Look around you. Do you see it? Do you feel it? You should….God is in every tiny detail of your life and He knew every aspect of your life before you were born. Now, that is overwhelming and wonderful.

Prayer:   Father God, you know me and love me. Thank you for loving me in a way where I know You have been in the center of everything in my life. Thank you for the Godly people you placed in my life. Knowing you have taken care of me makes me feel special in Your sight, and makes me know You are present with me every step of my way. Amen
